If you make an account with IMAGINE we collect your email address and a user name and store your password in our database. You may also add your name, website, social links, and biography/about me information. This information is is voluntary and not necessary to hold an account with us. You may also control who sees the information you leave by editing your privacy settings within your account.  Furthermore, IMAGINE uses Cloudflare, so your origin IP (The IP address used by your device) never visits our website. Only Cloudflare IP addresses can be seen by our server, and are only recorded when you make a comment.

We also collect information on our Submissions page, where anyone can send us content, regardless of holding an account or not. The mandatory information needed are: A submission title, submission content (either text or attachment), and an alias we can use to credit the content.

Account Registration

In order to register an account with IMAGINE, you must be 13 years of age or older. If you know of a member who is under the age of 13, please report them immediately so that we may remove the user and their data.

You do not need an account to interact with this website. To register an account, you must have a valid email address, as a verification email will be sent to you. When you create an account, you are giving IMAGINE permission to store your user name, password, and email, as well as any further information you volunteer. The only mandatory information we need are: an email address, strong password, and a user name.

Submissions

IMAGINE collects content submissions via email or the submissions page on this website. We encourage the use of aliases for submission purposes, as we will not publish your real name. If you are logged in to this website while submitting content through the submissions page, your user name will automatically be attached to the submission. If you do not have an account, please leave an alias. You may also leave information such as a contact email. However, if you would like to have  more information posted, like an avatar, about me, website url, and social links, please create an account. If you would prefer not to make an account, email us ([email protected]) the information and we’ll do our best to maintain your account via proxy.

Securing Your Data

We store your information in our secure servers, which are backed up monthly and stored in an encrypted container for 90 days. If you would like your data deleted, you may delete your account at any time by visiting your account page. Please note that your information will still be stored in our backups for 90 days. If a backup to our website is needed, we will delete your information for you before we go live. After 90 days, your information will be lost. Please keep in mind that after you delete your account, we will not restore it, as that would require an entire database restore to the time you deleted your account, and we would lose all content that occurred after you deleted your account. Please be sure before deleting your data.
