Honestly…you could have told me that Whitefish, Montana was an imaginary place in the United States…and I probably would have believed you. Hehehe! But, it was this particularly small town that has given us an amazing star on the rise! So consider it an official addition to my mental map of the country from now on! Hehehe!
Fourteen year old Cody Bingham found his love and passion for dancing when he was only SIX years old (Again…what the hell was I doing with my life when I was six? I was still trying to figure Legos out at that age!), and he has been fiercely pursuing his dream ever since. And he’s already gotten himself some rather impressive notches in his belt already…including being on a tour and performing on stage with the obscenely famous Justin Bieber when he was only TEN years old!
What the hell, man? I was struggling with Algebra, and Cody’s dancing for sold out venues on the Bieber ‘Purpose’ tour! Sigh…Hehehe!
But it’s obvious that he worked hard for his spot in the dancing industry, and continues to grow and evolve as time goes on. He’s definitely paid his dues, still goes to public school to keep up with his studies, AND has remained a true sweetie at heart the whole way! Awwww, he’s so cute! How can you not cheer for him every step of the way of his climb to the top?
Not only has he been extremely lucky, as well as getting his name out there through hard work and a fierce dedication to his craft, but Cody has also been a major competitor on highly rated dance competitions on television like ‘Dancing With The Stars Juniors’ and ‘Lip Sync Battle Shorties’, where he performed to rave reviews all around.
Cody’s mother, Tawnya Bingham, recalls how impressed talent scouts were with Cody, inspiring a Skype call after having him send in a two song audition. She says, “About a week or two later, we got a phone call that he was one of three in the nation that got picked to go straight through. The executive producers absolutely love him, they told us he didn’t have to go back to LA to audition in person like the other kids.” And from there…I guess you can say that the rest is history.
Well…recent history, hehehe! But history, nonetheless.
And…if Cody Bingham looks somewhat familiar to you, and you didn’t recognize him with the blond mop instead of his usual brunette locks…then you’ve probably seen his big break in the newest video, “Rescue Me”, by the band One Republic! Yep! That’s Cody, strutting his stuff and taking on a mini crew of bullies with his dance moves! Hehehe! I can’t tell you how much I love this video! It’s just plain fun to watch, you know?
It always seems as though Cody is having so much FUN when he’s dancing, and yet his performances come off as flawless. Which is probably why he won Dancer Of The Year in 2018. “I LOVE TO DANCE, dance is my passion, I work hard every day, all day…” Says the young star. And he’s definitely shown the industry what he was made of while shaking his tailfeather in front of a wide audience on many different occasions, including the Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards, The Kids Choice Awards, and a live commercial for “The Greatest Showman” with Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Zendaya!
So he’s no stranger to the stage, or to competing to the very best that he can be, no matter who else might be sliding across that stage with him!
And while Cody Bingham may be blessed with a natural talent when it comes to his dancing, no creative effort can truly reach its peak without tons and tons of practice. And he seems to be locked in to putting in the kind of professional work ethic that will keep him sharp and on top of his game at all times. He’s constantly working to perfecting his art with every chance he can get, and has even trained at the famous IMMAbeast dance studio, expanding his repertoire of innovative dance moves even further than before.
Something tells me that Cody is here to stay for a while. And once he finds his way towards getting that tour that he’s working to be a part of…we might just be blessed with more of his skills for years to come! Keep practicing, dude! You’ve got this in the bag! 🙂
