#1 – Originally, the month of April only had 29 days in it. It wasn’t until Julius Caesar chose to establish his own Julian calendar that gave it a 30th day.

#2 – To this day…no one really knows where the idea of April Fool’s day and the pranks involved with it comes from. It can’t be traced back to any certain culture or area of the world, but the idea of it spread like wildfire once it was introduced to others. Hehehe, I guess the craving to play a prank on th people around you was contagious! 😛

#3 – I was working in a music store the day that Justin Bieber released his “Believe” album, and so naturally, we had it playing over the loud speakers for the whole day. It was the first time that any of us had heard the whole album. We got the store copy of the album on June 19th, 2012…which just happened to be the Shack Out Back’s 14th anniversary. And after a lot of struggles and problems and crashes and TONS of bullshit…the fans stood by me, and supported me in an effort to keep me going. I was working that day, and the first time the song, “Believe”, started playing in the store, I was really touched emotionally by how much it mirrored what the site and myself had been through up until that time. It truly embodied the whole experience from my side of this damn computer screen, good and bad, and it just felt like the best way for me to say ‘thank you’ to all of you who stuck around and stayed by my side through it all. So…Justin Bieber’s song, “Believe”, instantly became the official ‘Comicality’s Shack Out Back’ Anniversary song! And remains so to this day!

#4 – Whether you believe or not…an outbreak of UFO sightings have increased greatly since the Covid-19 pandemic and following quarantine have happened. It hasn’t been reported on very much, but sightings have more than tripled since people have been inside. Hehehe, maybe even the aliens are wondering, WTF is going on with this species right now?” LOL!

#5 – The people who were born in April have a diamond as their birthstone. Not only luxurious…but it apparently represents innocence.

#6 – The Titanic sank on April 15th…and the ship lies 12,600 feet underwater to this day. Yes, it’s still there. In fact, there is no way for anyone to bring it back up to the surface. The ruins of the ship have been there since 1912!

#7 – April is a month that is known for its fabulous displays of meteor showers. It’s one of the best times to see one if you never have before. The first, being the Lyrids meteor shower, which lasts from April 16th until April 16th. And the second is the Eta Aquariids that begins around April 21st.

#8 – America’s very first president, George Washington, was not inaugurated on January 20th like presidents are today. Instead, he was inaugurated on April 30th, 1789!

#9 – “A person really in love, full of oblivious longing, sends dreams after you.” It’s a quote that I created to put into one of my stories many years ago called “A Fool In Love”! I even got readers to spread the word about this story and rave about how awesome it was! Hehehe, but the secret is out now. If you take the first letter of every word in that quote…it spells out, ‘A.P.R.I.L. F.O.O.L.S. D.A.Y.’! Hehehe! It was just something totally ridiculous and over the top that I wrote for fun! I tend to be a bit unpredictable at times, folks! So stay on your toes! ::Giggles::

#10 – The idea of an Easter Basket is actually a very old Spring tradition. Baskets were woven by women and filled with eggs to symbolize a nest, fertility, and a stroke of good luck for new life within your family. So basically…go have lots of babies you overly repressed, sexless, pilgrim! Hehehe!
