It happens almost every generation, doesn’t it? Hehehe, you find a threesome of really cute brothers that just get together and create an awesome band that all the girls (And a lot of boys too) go CRAZY for! Hehehe! I remember when it was Hanson…and then the Jonas Brother…and then Marcus and Martinus. Well, a new generation is here now, and we’ve been given another musical gift to love and appreciate for their music and lyrics and, of course, the fact that they’re super cute on top of it all! 🙂
This is the fairly new group of brothers, going by the name ‘Ready Set Bro’. The family band of Tavyn, Auslen, and the youngest boy, Kaplan Doell, have been working hard on getting their music heard and promoted out there for everyone to hear over the past year or so. I figured that Imagine Magazine could maybe do its part to help them reach the level of fame and attention that they deserve. Especially after the struggles they had to go through trying to get their music out there during the Covid-19 pandemic. Which made it nearly impossible for them to tour, perform live, or really showcase their talent the way they wanted to once they got all of their dominoes lined up in a row, working with a skilled variety of industry mentors over zoom. Many of them have never met in person, but are maneuvering as best as they can around the restrictions of a global outbreak. Hehehe, and if that’s not dedication to your craft, then I don’t know what is.
Brother Tavyn says, “This last year most of us, regardless of our age, spent a lot of time contemplating the meaning of life more than ever, and reevaluating what really matters…” Which eventually led to their very first popular debut single, ‘Stardust’. “(The song is) about how over the pandemic we kind of were contemplating a lot of things about life and meaning and the fragility of life. I think this song can apply to everybody about coming together and that we are all one, and we can get through anything. Even in isolation.” And it’s true! I think a lot of us found something significant about ourselves and life in general during the pandemic lockdown, and it’s really cool to see these boys use that self awareness and introspection to do something positive. It means a lot, and I’d love to see them keep going to be a big name in the business!
The Doell brothers, coming from Calgary in Alberta Canada have now been signed to a talent agency label in Nashville, and I’m certain that they’ll be exploding on the scene once more people get to hear their songs for the first time. Combining a mix of pop, rock, country music, and jazz…Ready Set Bro is all geared up to be the next household name in teen music!
This is their rendition of the song, “Ben”, which is like…one of my favorite young Michael Jackson songs of all time. And Kaplan nails the vocals so flawlessly that I was immediately drawn towards anything else that him and his brothers might have done online! Check it out for yourselves!
“We are just hoping to get our music out there, try and inspire the younger generation to play more music and just help everybody out there we can.” They said, and now that the obstacles in their path have gotten slightly better to deal with in terms of their career, it’s awesome to see them keep going strong and sticking to their goal of having themselves heard and applauded for their patience and youthful enthusiasm. I hope that it’ll all pay off in the long run!
The brothers’ fascination with music actually came from their musician father, who played with award winning country rock band ‘Jo Hikk’, watching their dad performing on stage during concerts as well as festivals, also sitting in one some of his recording sessions. Now they’re making music of their own, and play a variety of their own instruments on top of it. Including, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, and more. And with Kaplan’s vocal charisma and appeal to many of their fans, impressing an audience has become a very easy feat for the three brothers to pull off whenever and wherever they perform. Making their first singles extremely successful at the first listen. Which is easy to believe with their favorite influences being listed as KISS, Freddie Mercury, Def Leopard, Pink Floyd, Extreme, Journey’s Steve Perry, and Adam Lambert.
If you want to be a family rock band, that’s definitely a damn good selection to start with!
