Hehehe, it’s just a coincidence, folks. No, he’s not related to actor Christopher Walken…but how awesome would it be if he was? 😛

Still, don’t count Andy Walken out when it comes to being a talented teen of his own! Not only has he been working rather steadily with his acting career, but he’s actually won awards for his performance in the recent past. In fact, Andy won the very first ever “Children’s And Family Emmy Award For Outstanding Younger Performer In An Animated Or Preschool Animated Program” (That is quite the mouthful! Hehehe, geez!) An award that he won for his role as a young Durpleton in the animated presentation of “Centaurworld”.

Oh yes, he does voiceover work too!

He’s also done plenty of live action stuff as well to show off his skills, including roles in TV movies and shows like NCIS,The Kids Are Alright, Escaping Dad, Modern Family, and the show Heartbeat. I’ll have to chck that last one out some time, as this was the first time that I’ve ever heard of it. And he even got to play the lead role of Ralphie in “A Christmas Story Live!”…which is just downright classic. Hehehe!

While he’s now moved to Los Angeles to live full time and to pursue the best of his acting opportunities…Andy Walken didn’t start off that way.

Born just forty miles or so North of Seattle, the Mukilteo, Washington native actually started off at a very young age as a competitive ice skater! He was only five years old when he just so happened to be discovered at a national talent convention. The rest, as they say, is history from there. Hehehe!

And now you can see Andy a bit more often as his work continues to grow. Including in movies like the family friendly super hero movie, “We Can Be Heroes”, from a few years ago, with Pedro Pascal and Priyanka Chopra…directed by Robert Rodriguez!

When he began figure skating, he very quickly began performing at a theater camp, most notably in their production of “Peter Pan”, which I mean…come on. EVERY kid loves Peter Pan! This thrilled him to no end and he enjoyed it so much that he decided to change the whole of his focus to acting instead from that day forward. I don’t know…is figure skating like riding a bike? Can you just slip on a pair of skates and hop right back into it, or what?

I’m not really sure how that works…

It was then that he found a real love for performing live in front of an audience, the eleven year old telling reporters, “This is my first live thing. Also my first sort of Broadway musical.” Soon adding, “I’m more excited than nervous.”

And so, we have a very cute, teen, actor and figure skater, on our hands now! Not only that, but he claims to love Parkour and is an expert gamer on top of it all!

He’s got a couple of alleys to travel down and excel at right now. All he has to do is pick one. But no matter which one he chooses to chase in whatever industry he wants to tackle (Which, right now seems to be acting), I think he’ll end up being great at it. A fierce determination, a heap of raw talent, and bright blue eyes that could hypnotize just about anybody if they stare at them for too long without turning away…he’s going to be one to watch for by the time he hits his eighteenth birthday!

So keep your eyes peeled! Because Andy Walken is coming! 🙂

The very best of luck and great good fortune to you, dude! It’ll be cool to see where you go from here, and “We Will Be Heroes” was a lot of fun, by the way! Hehehe, the youngsters in my family loved it! Stay beautiful!
